{"id":465,"date":"2016-11-16T18:17:10","date_gmt":"2016-11-16T18:17:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.imadscotland.co.uk\/blog\/?p=465"},"modified":"2020-08-25T15:34:44","modified_gmt":"2020-08-25T15:34:44","slug":"465","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.imadscotland.co.uk\/blog\/465\/","title":{"rendered":"Server Hosting Message 16\/11\/16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>SERVER HOSTING MESSAGE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some websites and email services suffered a period of downtime yesterday until this morning.<\/p>\n<p>Services should now be returning to normal. <\/p>\n<p>We apologise for any inconvenience however this was due to a national server issue out of our control<\/p>\n<p>*IMAD Scotland uses a national webhosting company www.daily.co.uk for our website servers<br \/>\nand we rely on them obviously for minimal downtime and support for our websites and other services.<\/p>\n<p>Daily were recently taken over by a larger company in Sept 2016.<\/p>\n<p>We shall keep an eye on the situation to ensure that periods of downtime are minimal.<br \/>\nWhilst all internet and computer services are prone to downtime due to upgrades or unforeseen technical<br \/>\nissues it is obviously important to us and our customers that these are minimal.<\/p>\n<p>If there were to be further outages then in the long term moving to other hosting servers is an option<br \/>\nhowever again there can be periods of up to 72 hours unavailability in moving websites so ideally this will not be required.<\/p>\n<p>We have used Daily for over 10 years and generally the service is reliable so hopefully this will only be a singular issue.<\/p>\n<p>Please note we are instantly aware of any downtime for websites as we receive notifications as soon as a site is offline.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.imadscotland.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/daily.jpg\" alt=\"daily\" width=\"730\" height=\"626\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-469\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SERVER HOSTING MESSAGE Some websites and email services suffered a period of downtime yesterday until this morning.
